Reflection
Points:
Do I know God's Word just to know it or am I also living it?
Am I spending time with the Lord every day? If not, then what is more important than this?
When tempted, do I know what I need to do in order to have a way out? Am I using God's Word to overcome temptation?
Power
Verses:
Psalm 119:11, "I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You." (NLT)
Job 23:12, "I have not departed from His commands but have treasured His Word in my heart." (NLT)
Deuteronomy 11:18, 19, "So commit yourselves completely to these Words of mine. Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again." (NLT)
1 Corinthians 10:13, "But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it." (NLT)
